When Home Doesn't Feel Like Home
There’s a special kind of ache that comes from feeling misunderstood by the people who know you best.
Jesus felt it too.
When He returned to His hometown, He wasn't celebrated.
He was doubted.
Rejected.
Dismissed by the very people who watched Him grow up.
"A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives, and in his own home."
— Mark 6:4
When you’ve made mistakes, when you've fallen hard —
it’s often the people closest to you who remember the worst version of your story.
But that’s not the end of the story.
Jesus didn’t let rejection define Him.
And you don’t have to either.
You are not who they say you are.
You are who Jesus calls you:
Redeemed.
Restored.
Loved.
Still chosen.
Don't let the shame of yesterday keep you from the purpose waiting for you today.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
— Romans 8:28
